MAY 2008 TRAP REPORT

This month we were really busy; total birds shot were over 32,000!! This
was an increase of 203%above last year! The youth shooters by themselves
 shot 659 rounds of Trap.

All this youth practice certainly paid off at the 2008 Northern Regionals
for Arkansas Game and Fish Youth Shooting Program; over half of the teams
that finished in the top 16 for Seniors and Juniors had taken the
opportunity to shoot at Twin Lakes Gun Club. Mountain Home Bombers Juniors
finished 1st and 2nd at the Northern Regionals and the Seniors Bomb Squad
finished first in their category. Now they're on to the finals at Lonoke
on June 7. Other local squads that shot here and are in the finals
included Izard County, 4th Junior team Izard County #2 second place in
Senior class, And Flippen, 4th place in Seniors. Good luck to all the
shooters; it was a pleasure having you at the club!

Several members of the club participated in the Missouri State
Championships this month; Tom Linville won Senior Vet, I won a preliminary
Class A event, and Mel Ward cleaned up on the Lewis!

Our May ATA shoot was fairly successful; we had 25 shooters for our
all-Handicap 300 Bird Marathon and a good time was had by all. Our next
ATA shoot is June 29; look forward to seeing all out there to shoot/help.
